Turntables:

Both DaVinci Audio AAS-Gabriel and InUnison turntables can be custom colored. They both sound incredible. Aside from the obvious physical appearance, both turntables share the following criteria:

• highly stable basis
• completely silent magnetic bearings
• a pick-up decoupled from the basis
• dedicated motor and motor control unit
• stable power supply
• proprietary damping feet

DaVinci Audio makes two tone-arms: Grandezza Reference and Nobile tone-arms. They come in 9, 10, and 12 inch versions. The Grand Reference Grandezza, and Nobile tonearms both takes advantage of a double gimballed ruby bearing. These tone-arms do not use conical bearing. Instead they use eight rubies in the ancient watch making tradition. The steel bearing bolts are hand fitted by a Swiss watch maker to ensure the DaVinci standard of precision. There is no azimuth control, by design.

DaVinci Audio Grandezza Reference tone-arm is a beauty. Its armwand is cocobolo. The arm either comes in two options where the bronze pieces are coated in either 24K gold-plated or rhodanized luxury model (factory charges us their cost, and we pass that cost to you – no extra margin here). There are a few other extras over Nobile too like WBT NextGen plugs, and Feickert protractor.

DaVinci Audio Nobile tonearm uses aluminum bearing block, with steel basis. It has a magnetic anti skating. Nobile tonearm tube is made of carbon, has steel counter weights and aluminum head shell. Phono cable is direct and one meter.

DaVinci Audio Grandezza Reference Cartridge is a beautiful sounding cartridge. During a recent trip to Switzerland, Peter Brem, his crew and I listened to a variety of cartridges, most over $10,000, one about $20,000. DaVinci Audio Grandezza Reference cartridge easily beat them all. Frankly, another thing I like about this cartridge aside from the good sound it produces, is that it does actually look like it is worth what you are paying for it. I am a bit tired of cartridges that do not look worthy of the money you spend on them.
