ZYX atmos and ZYX 4d … never ending saga ….

sibatech asked us to “end the dispute on this.” we respected their request. only a few days ago, we noticed a zyx distributor published a text they say is approved by sibatech. it indicated that in the summer of 2008 certain “upgrades” were made to 4d.

we could careless. we are tired of this mess. only in the spirit of openness and fairness to our customers, we need to disclose this information.

so, please make the decision to purchase atmos as-is, and independent of 4d. please assume 4d is a different cartridge. it may now be better or worse than atmos! who cares. someone else’s problem to listen to the two and compare the results.

since all atmos and most 4d cartridges are affected, i suggest zyx/sibatech to release the following statements, if true (XXXX’s need to be filled by them):

the timing of revealing these “changes” is a bit odd. if they were big enough, zyx should have created a version control (e.g. atmos or 4d mk ii). big or small, all zyx representatives should have immediately been notified of the nature of the changes. this is the only way to conduct a fair, open and honest business. zyx/sibatech owes this to their end consumers and people who represent them.

the nakatsuka san i know is a proud man who would have at least informed me of any “improvements” he made to a product. what makes it double odd is that whenever there was an upgrade to a product, zyx would ask me to send them my inventory for the upgrade. the fact this did not happen while we were in honeymoon, and the timing of the piecemeal information make the situation a bit suspicious.

at the end, i admit. i do not know the truth. neither do you. i have already wasted too much time and energy on this. please make your decision on the purchase of atmos independent of the 4d, and as-is. enjoy the atmos as is, at half the price of a 4d. do you want more discount? just holler!
